Always a pleasure to work with Backdropsource! We've ordered several event banners through the company; they are always very helpful, fast, and the banners themselves are of great quality and easy to set up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much A4 literature will a brochure stand realistically hold? +
Capacity is the criterion people check last and regret first. Count the pockets, then be honest about what goes in them: a pocket holding a single A4 sheet takes a healthy stack, but the same pocket holding a stitched 24-page brochure takes very few, and a thick brochure also stops the pocket sitting flat. Estimate how many pieces you expect to hand out each day, divide by the number of restocks you can realistically manage, and check the stand covers that. Otherwise keep a box under the counter and treat the stand as a display rather than a warehouse.
How do I stop a literature stand being knocked over in a busy aisle? +
A tall, narrow stand in a busy aisle will get knocked, and it is almost always a bag rather than a person that does it. Favour a wide base or a zig-zag footprint over a slim single upright, keep the heaviest literature in the lowest pockets so the centre of gravity stays low, and position the stand inside your stand line rather than on the aisle edge. Note that emptying pockets from the top down through the day makes the stand progressively less stable, so restock the top first. In a hall like ExCeL London, position matters as much as the stand you buy.
Zig zag or S-shaped: does the pocket layout really matter? +
The Zig Zag Brochure Stand angles alternate pockets so somebody can see the covers of several different pieces at once, which works when you are offering a genuine choice. The Modern S-Shaped Brochure Stand presents a cleaner continuous line and suits a single flagship document or a small curated set. The practical trade-off is visibility against tidiness: zig-zag shows more of each cover but looks busier, while S-shaped photographs better and partly hides the lower covers. Choose by how many different documents you are actually putting out.
Can I show tablets and printed literature on the same stand? +
The TechBrochure Pro Stand and the Multi-Device Media Display Stand exist for this, and they are usually the right answer on a small stand where floor space is the binding constraint. Running both from one unit also keeps the conversation in one place rather than sending a visitor to another corner of the stand. The compromise is that neither the screen nor the literature gets the whole unit, so if printed material is your main takeaway, a dedicated brochure stand will hold noticeably more.
How are tablets secured and powered on a display stand? +
Check that the holder fits your device including its case before the show rather than in the hall, as device thicknesses vary more than people expect. Plan for power, because a tablet looping video all day will not survive on battery, and route the charging cable down the back of the stand instead of across the floor. Use a lock or tether wherever the stand will be unattended, and set the device to a kiosk or guided-access mode with notifications off so visitors cannot wander out of your app. The Sleek Tension Fabric Tablet Display gives you a branded fabric surround, which stops the device looking like a tablet left on a pole.
Should I put my whole product range on the stand? +
No. A stand loaded with every document you print gets stripped by people collecting paper rather than read by prospects, and it makes choosing harder for everyone who stops. Put out one or two pieces aimed at the visitors you are actually there to meet, keep the rest in reserve, and ask before handing anything over so you have a reason to start a conversation. Refill from stock through the day so the stand always looks used but never picked clean.
Can these stands be branded, and what artwork do you need? +
The Sleek Tension Fabric Tablet Display carries a printed fabric graphic so it can be personalised to match the rest of your stand, and other units in the range can be specified with branding rather than left plain. Keep the design simple, because most of the surface will be covered by literature or a device in use, leaving only a strip around the pockets and the header genuinely visible. Free artwork assistance and free 2D mockups are included, so email support@backdropsource.co.uk and we will show you what remains visible once the stand is loaded.
How do brochure stands pack down and travel between events? +
These stands are designed to break down and travel, which matters if you run several events a year, and free UK delivery applies to every order. Pack the stand and the literature separately, because paper is heavy and a stand carrying a full load in transit takes damage at the pocket fixings. Keep the fittings in a labelled bag inside the case, as a missing thumbscrew is exactly the sort of thing that leaves a stand sitting in the van. Every product carries a 1-year warranty, and we have supplied UK exhibitors for over 21 years.
